With five 8-week terms a year, this flexible program gives you the opportunity to earn your Bachelor's Degree at your convenience!
To be eligible for admission to either program, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
- Complete the Eastern Kentucky University online application.
- Submit official transcripts from all institutions attended.
- Have a minimum high school and college GPA of a 2.0.
- Pay the $30 non-refundable application fee.
- Have an ACT score of 18 or a SAT score of 870.
OR - Completion of 24 college credit hours including one college-level English, math and science class. However, if an applicant does not have pre-algebra or algebra math course, then applicant must score a 22 on the ACT or a 530 on the SAT on the math portion, or they will need to take a developmental math course.
In order for transcripts to be considered official they need to be sent directly from any and all colleges attended and must be from a regionally accredited institution.
**Certificate Seeking is the classification for those students who have not yet completed 24 credits of general education courses. Once 24 credits of general education courses are complete, status will change to Bachelor's Degree Seeking.
Certificate in Fire Administration
For those who are interested in the 10 course certificate program the qualifications are as follows:
- Graduate from an accredited high school
- Have a minimum cumulative high school/G.E.D. or college grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Submit a minimum ACT composite score of 18 and/or SAT score of 870 or higher or have 24 hours or more of college credit
- Complete the Undergraduate online application and pay the $30 non-refundable application fee
- Submit official transcripts from all accredited institutions attended (if applicant has less than 24 college credit hours, he/she must also submit official high school transcripts)
